Attorney Shalimar Addy

Shalimar is the firm’s managing attorney and has over 15 years of legal expertise. Early in her career, Shalimar felt a call to practice law in a way that was personally and professionally meaningful to her. To answer that call, in 2011 she commissioned into the United States Air Force as a Judge Advocate General (JAG).

From 2011 to 2021 she served on active military duty, supervising the Air Force’s Legal Assistance Programs across bases in Arizona, Virginia, South Carolina, California, and Texas. During this time, Shalimar provided legal services worldwide to military members and their families, military retirees, and Gold Star Families.

Shalimar always recognizes the importance of competence and personalized care for each person she assists. Throughout her career she prioritized treating every individual case with the utmost care and attention, knowing that a family’s entire future will be affected by the quality of her estate planning services. She’s shared in the relief when an elderly loved one is finally able to receive the care they need, through proper advanced directives. As a mother herself, she understands the feelings of peace when parents know their children and assets are protected. Shalimar also compassionately helps families as they enter their more difficult times.

Shalimar has volunteered to prepare last wishes for terminally ill patients and drafted emergency estate documents (at no cost) to deployed military members injured in combat locations shortly before their passing, ensuring the family had one less worry during their time of grief.

In 2017, Shalimar was promoted to Chief Circuit Counsel for the Pacific. In this role she was responsible for supervising all junior attorneys and paralegals in the region, providing legal advice and services to any eligible person in Japan, Korea, Guam, and Hawaii.

In 2020, Shalimar was designated Deputy Staff Judge Advocate at Edwards Air Force Base, California where she was responsible for a team of 14 legal personnel providing a full spectrum of legal services including Estate Planning, Labor and Employment law, Criminal Litigation, and the Federal Magistrate Program in cooperation with the Department of Justice.

Shalimar honorably retired from the Air Force in 2022 at the rank of Major and transitioned to providing services for the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Inspector General and the Department of Justice in the Southern District of Texas as a Special Assistant United States Attorney.* Today, she is happy to spend time with her family, providing quality Estate Planning and other legal services to Sienna, Missouri City, Sugarland, Katy, and the surrounding Houston cities.
